About The Weathered Publication

The Weathered Publication (Weathered), an independent publication, launched in July 2022 on Medium, focusing on articles and essays about climate change, sustainability, and social and environmental justice. After the 2024 election, Weathered expanded to include politically focused content.

By early 2025, it became clear that Tech Bro platforms like Medium and Substack were bending the knee to the new Trump administration. We noticed their engagement algorithms downranking content that challenged Project 2025. Refusing to let our message be controlled by corporate gatekeepers, we began migrating Weathered to a Ghost-hosted site in February 2025.

We made this move to stay true to our mission: giving a voice to marginalized people, protecting the planet, and providing critical insights on survival in an increasingly authoritarian world.

We believe in becoming better humans and fighting to save this world—because it’s the only one we have. We routinely ask ourselves:
“What have we done for the people?”

During the migration, we unlocked much of our previously paywalled content from Medium. You’re welcome to read and comment on these articles (note: Medium comments did not transfer, so please add new ones!). We’d also appreciate you sharing them on social media.
