I'm back from China and catching up on the news. I did get some bits of news when I was over there, at least what they wanted me to see. As I wrote in my last article, the grass is not necessarily greener over there - it's just different. Here's what I found since I got back, excuse any jet-lagged mistakes.

The report found that 39 percent of the country believes that global warming is harming Americans’ health “a great deal” or “a moderate amount,” an 8 percent increase since a previous survey in 2014. Nearly half of Americans also understand that climate-related health harms impact Americans unequally, a 13 point increase.

RFK Jr is a snakeoil salesman. His BS about cod liver oil and whatever "homeopathic remedy" will end up killing people. We need a Scientist or Medical Professional leading the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, not some crackpot pushing crazy ideas.

Trump has let Elon Musk loose to "cut fraud and waste" at the SSA. They're claiming massive fraud but what they're showing is their complete ineptitude at how the system works. That's why O'Malley's warning is the real deal here.
I can't wait to tell all the Trump voting retirees to "pull them up by their bootstraps" after the checks stop coming or are severely reduced. For the smart retirees who voted against Trump, you have my sympathy and you won't be voted off the island.
Is Musk Using His Kid as a Meat Shield?
I don't support or condone violence, but the reality is that when you cut people's livelihoods or ability to feed their families, violence will erupt. Maybe this is why all the billionaires are building bunkers and large yachts, so the regular population can't reach them easily.
The one thing I've noticed a lot is Musk taking one of his children with him wherever he goes. He puts the child in high visibility, like on his shoulders. It's very strange given how much he's pissed off people, maybe he's hoping that a would be assassin would shoot him with a child in the way.

Oh, and thanks to all the stock traders selling Tesla stock, about $150 billion of his wealth has been wiped out. That's a staggering amount to people like you and me, to him it's just a drop in the bucket. Moral of this story: tax the rich their fair share.
