Prepare For The Storm

Trump’s Second Term: The Final Destruction of Democracy

I thought the first Trump administration was nuts, but what's happening now is better coordinated thanks to Project 2025. Tim Walz was right, you don't write out your playbook if you don't intend to use it.

From the Democrats Have no Spine files

Ever since I was a freshly minted voter at 18, I realized that the Democratic Party has very little spine, if one at all. The GOP is successful because they all fall into rank and file order when the command comes from the top (Trump).

This is how wars are won and now they have their Project 2025 playbook. By the time this administration is over, the USA will have changed beyond recognition. I hold many GOP leaders to account for this and some Democratic ones too, like Chuck Schumer for the destruction.

Schumer says he’ll vote to advance GOP funding bill on eve of shutdown
Schumer’s reported support suggests that enough Senate Democrats will join Republicans to move the House-passed bill forward.

Typically, I'm never a supporter of shutting down the government, BUT in this case it's the only "checks and balances" option we have to stop the fascist and oligarchic takeover of the government.

Fuck you Chuck.

Let's get rid of all the old Democrats and vote in a new Progressive party.

The Privatization of the US Government Starts Now

The whole thrust of remaking the USA into this fascist oligarchic government is to privatize all our assets and resources. They'll gut Social Security, sell off our forests, drill baby drill on public lands, all with the express goal of giving this to private companies.

Trump Drafts Plans to Take Over Congress’s Spending Powers
Donald Trump plans to make massive cuts to spending—after Congress decides on the budget.
Trump and Vought, a Project 2025 alum, plan to impound some of the funds Congress allocates before the government shutdown deadline on Friday, Fox News reports. The move would violate the Impoundment Control Act of 1974, which Trump and his supporters have called unconstitutional, as it prevents the president from spending money appropriated by Congress in a different way.

We're seeing the grift right in front of our eyes and in real time.

Destroy Musk's Companies at All Costs

I loved the interview with Musk on FoxNews the other day. It looked like he was about to cry because Tesla stock is crashing and their sales are drying up globally. This is what happens when you openly make Nazi salutes and gleefully destroy governmental systems with allegations of fake fraud.

He's whining and crying to Trump to save him but I hope it's too late.

Trump calls Tesla boycott ‘illegal’ and says he’s buying one to support Musk
Standing in the driveway of the White House with Tesla vehicles, Trump said he would label violence against the company’s showrooms as domestic terrorism
Donald Trump said he is buying a “brand new Tesla” and blamed “Radical Left Lunatics” for “illegally” boycotting Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company. The announcement came a day after Tesla suffered its worst share price fall in nearly five years.

I want to remind Musk and Trump that the people who bought Teslas in the past were customers who cared about the environment and EV technology. We were the ones that had the money and desire to do so. Do you think Redneck Bubba Joe and his smog spewing pickup truck would ever dare buying one of those "Radical Left" cars?

Nope. Fuck Musk.

Don't tell us what to do, Trump, and get ready to feel the Power of the Purse.

A Government is Not a Business

When I was in my early 20s and graduated college, I was given a copy of "Atlas Shrugged" by my old boss. I looked up to him because he was such a successful entrepreneur. I wanted to be like him, and when he gave the book to me I devoured it.

I hate to say that for a period of my life I was in the Ayn Rand philosophy camp and believe that we should run the government as a business.

Then I grew up.

A Country Is Not a Business, a CEO Is Not a Democratic Leader
When I was a child, my father used to tell me, “It’s better to have a businessman as our mayor, governor, or president. They don’t steal because they already have a lot of money.” But r…
Now, the idea of a businessman running a country doesn’t convince me. Does that mean the country should be managed like a corporation? Bad idea. In a company, if you don’t have a certain level of education, if you’re sick, or if you have a disability, you’ll have a hard time getting hired. In a company, you can lose your job just for rubbing your boss the wrong way. In a cutthroat corporate culture, everyone fights against everyone else to survive. Is that how we want to live as a society?

This is a wonderful essay by Rolando Jvivas, I suggest you pop over there and read it.

Leave The Kid Alone But Don't Let up on Vance

For years, when we had a well-functioning government, it was common to leave the children of elected officials alone. That all changed with the Tea Party as they went after President Obama's children.

I think that's wrong and I will still abide by not attacking an elected official's children. But the elected official (parent) is fair game.

WATCH: Vice President JD Vance confronts Cincinnati protesters, condemns them on social media
Vice President JD Vance condemned protesters on X who allegedly followed him and his daughter in his Walnut Hills neighborhood. Video shared with WCPO shows Vance interact with the protesters.
"It was a mostly respectful conversation, but if you're chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you're a s—t person," Vance wrote on X.

No one was chasing a 3-year-old child, unless that's how you identify now JD?

Keep booing, keep protesting, keep making his public life a living hell. Give JD Vance and all the Trump sycophants no peace.
